I’m a frequent customer here. The food is always very fresh, and I love the aroma the moment it’s served. They offer proper Malaysian staples like Chicken Rendang, and a great vegan option with a butternut squash coconut-based curry. You can choose butter roti, rice, or both--portions are generous and very filling for just £6 (formerly £5, and the small increase makes sense). The lady running the place is friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend - you’ll probably find yourself coming back often.

Take away place for lovely home cooked curry. Service with a smile. In the covered market in the extreme side aisle.

I'm not sure why this is listed as temporarily closed, as they're definitely trading. They serve the finest Chicken Rendang and Beef Madras in all of Cardiff. £5 for a HUGE portion with Rice, Chips or Roti. Also worth a mention are five delicious Samosas for £3. Lovely people too.

tried madras rice and curry ayam with roti. portion is fine for asian. nice taste except their samosa too much spices and ruined the taste. cheap halal food you can get £5 per meal. limited seats so you have to tapau (takeaway) and makan (eat) upstairs. i didn’t try their rendang since owner is not from malaysia (i think by looking at the certificate) so i avoid to put high expectation to try my country’s signature dish.

I love this place! very budget friendly and taste good. It’s only £5 per meal, you can choose according to spice level and you get a big portion too! Definitely recommend you to try out if you’re around the area. You can choose your carbs - bread, chips or rice!

It's a small place inside the market. It's a one man show, reminiscent of Pim's thai. It costs £5. I repeat, £5. It's potato, chicken, and Roti. It's a no frills fanfare.and it's just what the doctor ordered. Well worth a stop.

What an absolute little belter this place is, run by a very warm lady who is serving upmsome.of the best curries I've tried in the UK in a very long time. I had the Chicken Rendang, the clarity of flavour was exquisite and the spicing was perfect! The accompanying roti was devine, slightly crispy and the edge and perfect ssift, not chewy and doughy in the middle. This meal was 6 QUID!! I'LL REPEAT... 6 QUID!!! In this day and age that is outstanding value, there should be queue round Cardiff! And I'm going to make it my mission to make it that way! Cardiff get your fine selves down here!!!
